The Legacy internship is designed for individuals who have a desire to contribute to anti-racist community organizing work and want to help build racial equity. An interest in politics and race and topics ranging from institutional racism, health care disparities, and policies to create racial equity is an indicator that this might be the internship for you. Activities will help interns develop skills needed for work in the health policy and advocacy world, including legislative and policy research, analysis, multi-media health marketing for a variety of audiences, and/or community organizing.

Legacy offers unpaid internships that are often available for course credit. Internships are structured for those able to commit 30 – 120 hrs a semester and are offered during fall, spring, and summer terms. We currently offer three to five internships at a time.
