Willis Center invited the community to celebrate the Agency's 20th anniversary on October 26, 2011 at the Celebrating Success breakfast event in the Hogan Campus Center Ballroom at Holy Cross. The Seven Hills Charter School Show Choir kicked off the morning with a performance of three original songs about Worcester. State Senators Michael Moore and Harriette Chandler, State Representatives John Mahoney and James O'Day, School Committee Member John Monfredo, and City Councilor Joe Petty attended the event as well as a group of over 100 comunity members. 

Gloria Hall was honored with the Helping Hands Award, for her impact on Worcester's cultural community, inlcuding her commmittment to showcase African and African American art in an accessible forum, such as the African American and Juneteenth Festival. Willis Center's Helping Hands Award recognizes individuals and organizations that have significantly impacted the community.This award celebrates those community members who demonstrate outstanding initiative and whose active social and civic participation impacts upon and provides inspiration to others.
