"Without the Willis Center, I'd still be on the streets. I'm free from drugs and
starting to get my life back on track." - Casa la Vida Resident
Sober Houses give men and women safe, clean and sober community homes to live in while on the path back to a successful and happy life and while working to stay sober during difficult times in life.

Residents have been sober for thirty or more days and support each other with positive reinforcement in true recovery communities.
Addiction is a disease and doesn't discriminate based on age, sex, income, job, or geographic origin. It can affect anyone. Often those suffering are those we love most: our mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, best friends, husbands, and wives.
Culturally competent staff and case managers use individual service plans to provide the resources and treatment necessary to meet each service recipient's needs.
Men come to Casa La Vida and Next Step and women come to Visions and Footsteps at all stages - some are recently sober while others have been sober for years and need support during a hard time in life. Residents find find that the community environment motivates them to work toward a stable, healthy, and self-supporting lifestyle.
Eighty-six percent of sober housing residents were
placed in stable housing after leaving the program.
Willis Center’s Sober Living program is parole and probation approved, for those who are required to attend a program.
Willis Center also operates Tides, a housing first model recovery home.
“The houses are like ¾ living – the next step is independent living. It’s the earth under their feet so they can reunite with family and the community. It’s a stepping stone back into life.”
- Sober Living Program Manager
