"I had lost everything when I came here - my house, my job, my wife, my self-esteem. This program restored my hope. It saved my life."- Channing House Graduate
Channing House provides a safe living environment and
culturally competent substance abuse treatment for adult males.
Channing is a social model program that includes:
• in-house group treatment
• psycho-educational groups
• case management
Addiction is a disease and doesn't discriminate based on age, sex, income, job, or geographic origin. It can affect anyone. Often those suffering are those we love most: our mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, best friends, husbands, and wives.
The culturally competent and compassionate staff and case managers at Channing House will help you or your loved one battle this disease.

“We meet the client where they are at and used a strength-based approach where change comes from the client.” - Channing Program Manager describing the stages of change model
Staff recognize that relapse is part of the disease of addiction and work with clients who have tried treatment before. Eighty to ninety percent of men at Channing complete the program. One man had been to multiple treatment programs unsuccessfully when he arrived at Channing. He graduated from the program and moved to a Willis Center sober living house. He is now attending school to become a substance abuse counselor.
"We are not only culturally diverse, but also relapse responsive. We believe relapse is part of the recovery process and people in their second or third program can still recover.” - Channing Program Manager
