African American and Juneteenth Festival 2010
Beasley was joined by Koliba Drumming, Domingo Guyton & the J. Newry Band, Bunny Price & the Soul Jazz Quartet, Marshalee Ellis-Kehlhem, the Gospel Choir Association of New England, Kid Colossal featuring Sunta and Sarah G, and Ashanti Munir. Read more about the full line-up here.
In Da Zone step dancers, comedian Big Mo, Belmont Ame Zion Church liturgical dancers Sweet Smelling Savior and In His Image, and 8 Count Steppers added to the festivities. Shirley Wright read told the story of Juneteenth.
The 2010 festival also hosted the exciting Black Starz final competition – participants in the competition competed at three venues through Worcester to perform on the Main Stage. The winner was decided Apollo Style.

The 2010 festival saw more vendors and community members than ever before with almost 100 vendors and 4,750 people gathered to honor and celebrate the history and culture of many local Worcester residents.
